Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's close. Our tutors are paid extremely well for their exceptional skills and contributions to our program. Most tutors earn on the order of double to triple the hourly wage they were paid at their previous job. Even better, our tutors work as independent contractors with tremendous autonomy and self-determination. You choose your own schedule, vacation time, when and where you tutor, and much more. For most college students it is an idyllic way to spend your final year before medical school.
We are always looking for potential MCAT tutors, but you MUST be extremely talented and have PROVEN teaching and tutoring skills. If you're interested, please contact us for more information. Our general requirements include:
A superb MCAT score: usually the 95th percentile or higher on ALL sections
Extensive prior tutoring/teaching experience
In most cases, you must have completed the Altius course yourself
Willingness to make a serious, two-semester commitment
Previous business experience is a plus
You must be friendly, gregarious and love teaching!
